SUBJECT:	ConnectiCare Health Insurance Enrollment - Advisory

Be advised that effective December 1, 2000 ConnectiCare is open to employees that meet the following criteria:

New hires on or after December 1, 2000
New retirees on or after December 1, 2000
Current employees not enrolled in the state employee health plan that become eligible to join, outside the annual open enrollment period, due to a change in family or work status.

Current employees already enrolled in the state employee health plan cannot change to ConnectiCare at this time.

The effective dates of coverage are set forth in Comptroller's Memorandum 2000-48, Schedule B, dated November 7, 2000. Premium rates are set forth in Comptroller's Memorandum 2000-24 dated May 5, 2000.
