Census of Covered Lives Under the Group Life Insurance Program

Census data of the covered lives are contained in a self-extracting archive at:
lifeacrt.exe

The first of the two files (liferet.txt) contains 21,099 records for state retirees. The second file (lifeact.txt) contains data for 34,906 active state employees. To increase useability these files have been created in ASCII delimited format. Each file contains the following demographic information:

Date of Birth (MM/DD/YY)
Basic Coverage Amount
Supplemental Coverage Amount
Insurance Status: (1 = Active, 04 = Premium Waiver, 05 = LAW, 06 = Judges/Legis., 07 = Pending Disability Waiver, 08 = Workers Compensation) Employee Type (01 = Active, 03 = Retirees)
Compensation Class Code from State Personnel System
1996 Gross Calendar Year Salary (not applicable for retirees)
