Insurance Administration, Sales and Marketing Organizations

The State of Connecticut, acting through the Office of the State Comptroller, is seeking information from service organizations with the capability of administering and/or marketing a voluntary Municipal Employer Health Insurance Program (MEHIP). This program is currently under development by the State and is expected to be operational on July 1, 1997. Examples of requested services include responding to program inquiries, conducting premium billing and collection, maintaining plan eligibility, preparing marketing support materials, etc.

Service organizations interested in learning more about this program and the requested services are invited to attend a meeting scheduled for February 11th at 9:30 a.m. in the State Comptroller's Office located at 55 Elm Street, Hartford, CT. Representatives of the State Comptroller's Office and Deloitte & Touche LLP will be present to:

If you are unable to attend the meeting but wish to be considered, you must request an RFI from the State Comptroller's Office. The completed RFIs must be returned to Deloitte & Touche LLP on or before February 19, 1997.
