A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, September 20, 2013, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant.
CALL TO ORDER
The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:10 am.
Dr. Lewis motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical
condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by
Dr. Croteau at 9:11 am. Members of the Retirement Services Division were allowed
to remain.
Dr. Lewis motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Croteau
at 11:45 am.
MAUREEN BENNETT MD-1419
NON-SERVICE CONNECTED
Dr. Croteau moved, seconded by Dr. Fitzpatrick, to deny Maureen Bennett's
entitlement to Non-Service Connected Disability Retirement. Motion approved
unanimously.
FREDERICK BLOOD MD-1413
NON-SERVICE CONNECTED
Dr. Croteau moved, seconded by Dr. Fitzpatrick, to approve Frederick Blood's
entitlement to Non-Service Connected Disability Retirement. Motion approved
unanimously.

Dr. Croteau moved, seconded by Dr. Fitzpatrick, to approve Paul Easterling's

Dr. Croteau moved, seconded by Dr. Fitzpatrick, to stand by the Board's previous
decision to deny John Hayden's entitlement to Service Connected Disability
