DIVISION MEMORANDUM 2010-04

TO THE HEADS OF ALL STATE AGENCIES

I. INTRODUCTION

Comptroller's Memorandum 2010-17 announced the transition of the State of Connecticut ("State") Unemployment Compensation Administrator, TALX UC eXpress to Employers Edge on July 1, 2010.  This Memorandum explains the process by which Employers Edge will deliver Agency Unemployment Compensation Claims Activity Reports ("Reports") to State agencies.
 
II. DISCUSSION

Employers Edge will be providing summary reports of each agency unemployment compensation claims activity on a quarterly basis.  Agencies should receive their first Report at the end of October 2010 for the third quarter, which begins on July 1, 2010 and ends September 30, 2010.
 
In order to ensure that the appropriate person receives your agency's Report, please send an email to Angie Hansen, Director Client Services at a.hansen@employersedge.com  with the following information:  the agency department i.d., agency contact name; email address; phone number and fax number.  When Employers Edge receives the requested information, it will issue an agency-specific login and pass code to agency's unemployment compensation contact. Only one person per agency will receive the Report; therefore, it is imperative that the primary agency unemployment compensation contact provide this information to Employers Edge promptly.  Each agency will receive a standard Report. Specialized reports can be obtained by contacting Angie Hansen at a.hansen@employersedge.com.
 
Please note:  The TALX claims reporting system will be discontinued when the current contract period expires on June 30, 2010.  Therefore, if your agency needs summary reports or other historical claims data from TALX, be sure to obtain it before the deadline of June 30, 2010.
