TO THE HEADS OF ALL STATE AGENCIES

Attention: Chief Administrative and Fiscal Officers, Business Managers, and Payroll and Personnel Officers
Subject: State Employees Returning from Active Military Service

The purpose of this memorandum is to request that agencies notify the Office of the State Comptroller upon the return to state service of any employee who was called to active military service in the armed forces for Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Noble Eagle, or a related emergency operation.

Please refer to Memorandum No. 2001-57 dated October 4, 2001 and Memorandum No. 2001-65 dated November 29, 2001 for information on state employees called to active military service.

Please provide the following information when the employee returns to state service. This information must also be provided for those employees who have already returned to state service.

3. Agency Contact Person

4. Date of Return to State Service
