A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, October 19, 2012, in Building No. 4, at the University of Connecticut's Health Center, 270 Farmington Avenue, Suite No. 262, Farmington, Connecticut, 06032.

Please note that a portion of the meeting, which included several investigatory fact-finding conferences, was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition of each Disability Retirement applicant.
CALL TO ORDER
The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:38 am.

| Dr. Aliyu motioned to go into Executive Session at 9:40 am, seconded by Dr. Lewis, to discuss the medical condition(s) related to David Leff's entitlement to Disability Retirement. Mr. Leff was accompanied by Attorney Andrew Houlding, and the following individuals who provided statements: Judge Grant Miller, Dr. Peter B. Wade, and Fire Chief Richard Hutchins. Members of the Retirement Services Division were asked to be allowed to remain. | ||

| Dr. Aliyu moved, seconded by Dr. Lewis, to stand by the decision made previously by the Board that Mr. Leff was not entitled to disability benefits. Motion approved by majority decision. | ||

| Dr. Aliyu motioned to go into Executive Session at 12:17 pm, seconded by Dr. Lewis, to discuss the medical condition(s) related to Raymond Berry's entitlement to Disability Retirement. Members of the Retirement Services Division were asked to be allowed to remain. | ||

| Dr. Aliyu moved, seconded by Dr. Lewis, to approve Raymond Berry's entitlement to Disability Retirement. Motion approved unanimously. | ||
