A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, January 13, 2017, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

PRESENT:

Nikolai Lieders, M.D.

ABSENT:

Tanya Jasper, Disability Retirement Unit

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant.

CALL TO ORDER

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:08 am.

Dr. Ghandour motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Rudich at 9:09 am. Members of the Retirement Services Division were allowed to remain.

Dr. Ghandour motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Rudich at 11:01 a.m..

SANDRA BUSUSMBRU         D- 11974         CHANGE TO NON-SERVICE CONNECTED
Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Lieders, to approve Sandra Busumbru's entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

FRANCETTE CARSON         D- 12037         NON-SERVICE CONNECTED
Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Lieders, to deny Francette Carson's entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

LISA HERSKOWITZ         D- 12293         NON-SERVICE CONNECTED
Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Lieders, to approve Lisa Herskowitz?s entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

TAMMY MURPHY         D- 12285         NON-SERVICE CONNECTED
Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Lieders, to deny Tammy Murphy's entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

CHERYL NAPOMICENO         D- 12233         NON-SERVICE CONNECTED
Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Lieders, to approve Cheryl Napomiceno's entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Lieders, to approve Bruce Pirro's entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Lieders, to approve Steven Porter's entitlement to Service-Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Lieders, to deny Steven Reed's entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Lieders, to approve Joyce Ritucci's entitlement to Service-Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Lieders, to approve Debra Seelen's entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.

Dr. Rudich moved, seconded by Dr. Lieders, to deny Donald Voluckas' entitlement to Non-Service Connected Retirement. Motion approved unanimously.
