A Meeting of the Medical Examining Board was held on Friday, April 20, 2018, at the Office of the State Comptroller, 55 Elm Street, Room 208, Hartford, Connecticut, 06106.

Please note that a portion of the meeting was conducted in executive session as the focus of the meeting was the medical condition(s) of each Disability Retirement applicant.

CALL TO ORDER

The Chairperson called meeting to order at 9:02 am.

Dr. Lieders motioned to go into the Executive Session to discuss medical condition(s) related to the applications for Disability Retirement, seconded by Dr. Katsetos at 9:04 am. Members of the Retirement Services Division and the General Counsel to the Commission were invited to stay during Executive Session. Robin Kallor left the meeting at 10:44 am and returned at 10:47 am. There was a brief break at 11:33 am until 11:39 am. Tanya Jasper left the meeting at 1:13 pm and returned at 1:16 pm.

1. Debra Byrd and Attorney Jeremy Brown appeared before the Board at 11:41 am. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 11:45 am.
2. Nicole Cangemi appeared before the Board at 11:47 am. She made a statement, and then was excused by the Board at 11:50 am.
3. Michael Chebro appeared before the Board at 11:52 am. He made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 11:55 am.
4. Peter Devaux and Attorney Russell Zimberlin appeared before the Board at 11:56 am. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 12:00 pm.
5. Marie Gonera and Michael Gonera appeared before the Board at 12:01 pm. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 12:07 pm.

6. Brian Halibozek and Christine Golet appeared before the Board at 12:15 pm. Mr Halibozek made a statement and then they were excused by the Board at 12:21 pm.
7. Attorney Russell Zimberlin, on behalf of Lisa Jones, appeared before the Board at 12:22 pm. Attorney Zimberlin made a statement and then was excused by the Board at 12:31 pm.
8. Ebone Kearse and Attorney Russell Zimberlin appeared before the Board at 12:35 pm. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 12:40 pm.
9. Domingo Lazu appeared before the Board at 12:45 pm. He made a statement and was excused by the Board at 12:47 pm.
10. Carmen Mattey appeared before the Board at 12:48 pm. She made a statement and was excused by the Board at 12:56 pm.
11. Kelly McFarland appeared before the Board at 1:02 pm. She made a statement and was excused by the Board at 1:08 pm.
12. Victor Moye and Aida G. Williams appeared before the Board at 1:12 pm. He made a statement and then they were excused by the Board at 1:13 pm.

14. Jacqueline Pittman and Ray Pittman appeared before the Board at 1:21 pm. Ms. Pittman made a statement and then they were excused by the Board at 1:24 pm.
15. Lisa Relihan and James Relihan appeared before the Board at 1:25 pm. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 1:28 pm.
16. Lisa Jones and Attorney Russell Zimberlin reappeared before the Board at 1:32. They made statements and then they were excused by the Board at 1:44 pm.

Dr. Lieders motioned to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Dr. Katsetos at 1:47 p.m.
