Eligibility: Candidates must have applied for and passed the Administrative Assistant exam and be on the current certification list promulgated by the Department of Administrative Services. State employee currently holding the above title or those who have previously attained permanent status in the class may apply for lateral transfer.
The Judicial Review Council (JRC) is currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant Position. This position is accountable for independently performing the most complex tasks in providing both office administration and secretarial support for a major program.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the processing of complaints in order to meet statutorily mandated deadlines for distribution to the appropriate officials; independently researched the judicial branch website to determine if a case detail is available to assist in the investigation of the complaint and provides the information to the executive director; ensures complaints are completed in a timely manner. Create documents independently such as letter, memorandums, cover letters, fax transmissions; agendas, minutes, index of public hearings, annual reports, brochure, information handbook, reports mandated by statute to be filed, file notes kept for every complaint; undated lists of members; separate word document containing all complaints received and all complaints dismissed; Provides administrative support to the executive director etc.; monitor/arrange all details concerning both new incoming members and those members leaving; answers the phone and communicates with complainants; pick up mail each day from the Council's box at the U.S. Post Office. Perform other special projects as assigned.
