MEMORANDUM NO. 98-27a
July 2, 1998
TO THE HEADS OF ALL STATE AGENCIES
|Attention:||Chief Fiscal and Administrative Officers, Business Managers, and Payroll and Personnel Officers|
|Subject:||Clarification of Memorandum No. 98-27 - Revision to Travel Procedures - Phase I|
The purpose of this memorandum is to amend the memorandum dated June 15, 1998. The rail travel was stated incorrectly and a change in the parking permit process has occurred.
Page 5, Sec. VII-C, of the memorandum should have read: Employee travel by rail can be reserved through Sanditz Business Travel Services. Agencies must adhere to established procurement policies.
Page 5, Sec. VIII, of the memorandum is amended to read: For state employees parking at Bradley International Airport on state-related business, the parking permits will no longer be distributed by the Comptroller's Office .
New parking permits are being printed and will be available through the Department of Transportation on July 17, 1998 by contacting Ms. Beverly Presnell at (860) 594-2276. The authorized agency representative should call Ms. Presnell in advance to order Parking Permits for their agency.
The agency is responsible for insuring that the Parking Permit is only used for official State travel. The agency must enter the Agency Name, Travel Authorization Number and an Expiration Date on the Parking Permit when it is issued to the employee. The expiration date should be one day after the scheduled return date. The employee using the parking permit must print their name on the permit and sign the permit before they present it to the parking attendant when they exit the parking lot.
If agencies need parking permits for employees traveling on state-related business prior to July 17, 1998, parking permits will be available through the Comptroller's Office.
Questions may be directed as follows:
Department of Transportation - (860) 594-2276
