Healthcare Cost Containment Institute Presentation - Postponed to a later date
Financials and Dashboard - Milliman presented the monthly dashboard report for financials. Pharmacy costs are continuing to drive overall costs. Milliman reported a significant increase in unit cost for generic, brand and specialty drugs. Within specialty, there has been significant cost increases in compound drugs driving high cost trends for pharmacy. Staff projected a significant shortfall in the retiree appropriation for fiscal year 2015 which will need to be monitored closely.
