Meeting Called to Order by Thomas Woodruff
Financials and Dashboard - Milliman presented the monthly dashboard report for financials. Pharmacy costs are continuing to drive overall costs especially on the retiree side. There have been significant cost increases in compound drugs which are driving high cost trends. Staff reported that due to the higher pharmacy costs and the increase in January 2015 retirements, we are projecting a significant shortfall in the retiree appropriation for fiscal year 2015 which will need to be monitored closely.
Facility Fee Update - Josh reported that the study is underway with a completion of the analysis by March 2015. The analysis will include both facility fees and professional fees for Anthem's full book of business and State of Connecticut members.
