Payroll and Personnel Officers
Subject: Dues/Fees change, Protective Services (NP-5) Bargaining Unit

I. AUTHORITY

In accordance with the request of the Protective Services Employees Coalition, the job title of Motor Vehicle Lieutenant will be added to the NP-5 bargaining unit effective February 26, 2015. Beginning with the pay period of March 20, 2015 through April 2, 2015 (check date of April 17, 2015), regular dues/fees of $30.75 will be deducted.

Please note: A one-time deduction of $92.25 will be made in the paycheck dated April 17, 2015 for employees in the job title of Motor Vehicle Lieutenant to cover the retroactive amount due.

Dues/fees for all other job titles in the NP-5 bargaining unit will remain the same.

Motor Vehicle Lieutenants are included in this group:

For employees in the following job titles: Building & Grounds Patrol Officer, Building & Grounds Supervising Patrol Officer, Conservation Enforcement Officer, Conservation Enforcement Sergeant, Detective, Liquor Control Special Agent, Liquor Control Supervising Agent, Motor Vehicle Agent Supervisor, Motor Vehicle Inspector, Motor Vehicle Operator License Agent, Motor Vehicle Sergeant, Police Captain, Police Master Sergeant, Police Officer, Police Sergeant, Special Enforcement Officer, State Animal Control Officer, State Animal Control Supervisor, Tax Enforcement Special Agent, Tax Unit Supervisor - Enforcement, Vehicle Weight & Safety Inspector, Training Officer, Duty Officer and Motor Vehicle Lieutenant, the dues and fees deduction will be as follows:

II. PAYROLL PROCEDURES

Agencies should verify that employees are in the correct dues/fees deduction for the highlighted job titles. Any necessary corrections should be made on the Create General Deduction page.
